Software Engineer – Web Development (React)

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with a strong background in web development to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building web applications using React, as well as supporting and enhancing internal tools. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full technology stack in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position is full time on site in Rockaway, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript.
Build and maintain backend services using Django and Python.
Implement interactive data visualizations using Chart.js.
Implement comprehensive testing using React Testing Library or other appropriate tools to ensure stability and compliance.
Follow ISO 9001 and ISO 27001-compliant development processes, including documentation, secure coding practices, and traceability.
Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and process adherence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
Strong proficiency in:
- React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 for front-end development
- Python and Django for back-end development
- Chart.js for data visualization
Experience with Visual Studio
Solid understanding of SQL.
Familiarity with SQL Server or other relational databases.
Experience working with Git in a collaborative team environment.
Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for clean, well-documented code.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Understanding of or willingness to learn software development within ISO-certified quality frameworks.

What We Offer

Product Solutions Specialist

This is not an internal IT support role!

We are seeking a Product Solutions Specialist to join our growing team. This customer-facing role is responsible for providing technical support and training for BTECH’s hardware and software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide prompt and professional product support to customers via phone, email, ticketing system, and video conferencing (Teams/Zoom).
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BTECH’s hardware and software offerings.
Deliver remote and occasional on-site product training and field service support.
Remotely install and configure BTECH software in customer environments.
Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams such as Service, Monitoring, and Engineering.
Maintain expertise in BTECH’s full product line and contribute to ongoing support documentation (manuals, bulletins, work instructions).
Assist the Engineering team in testing and evaluating prototype hardware and software.

Minimum Education
Electronics Technology Degree (Associates) or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Experience

Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Hands on experience using basic electronic test equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good interpersonal skills.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and a working knowledge of databases and computer networking concepts.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.

Electrical Engineer (Specializing in Manufacturing)

The Electrical Engineer will play a vital role in coordinating functions between Engineering and Production, performing hardware and firmware testing, developing, and maintaining test stations, and supporting quality efforts in electronics manufacturing. This position is full time on site in Rockaway, NJ.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate functions between engineering and production teams to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient production processes.
Perform thorough testing of hardware and firmware prior to releasing them for production.
Prepare and review test documentation for production and maintain accurate documentation revisions as required.
Develop and maintain electronic test stations to facilitate efficient and accurate testing processes.
Collaborate with production personnel to resolve day-to-day issues.
Conduct electrical and physical failure analysis on returns from the field to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Engage in sustaining engineering activities for electronics boards, including identifying obsolete parts that require replacement.
Assist in the certification of products for ETL, FCC, CE, RoHS, and REACH compliance.
Provide support for quality efforts and maintain adherence to manufacturing standards.
Performs other duties as required.

Experience & Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience with various testing equipment and manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

Proficient in analyzing digital and analog circuitry.
Strong knowledge and experience in using meters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes, including surface mount technology.
Experience with automated test equipment and LabView development.
Knowledge of embedded firmware development.
Proficiency in the C programming language for embedded systems and firmware development.
Working knowledge of Python for test automation, data analysis, and manufacturing support tools.
Proficient computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong team player and self-starter.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 27001 security management system.
