BTECH announces the S5 System and NEVERFAIL PLAN
- New S5 System joins the BTECH Lineup
BTECH, global leader in backup battery monitoring systems, today
announced the NEVERFAIL plan, a major initiative designed to help
guarantee power backup systems or UPS Systems operate as planned
during a power outage. NEVERFAIL addresses the fast growing demand
for optimized risk management, business continuance and/or disaster
recovery plans.
The new 5th generation BTECH S5 System utilizes unique patented
technology to identify early deterioration signs with any of the
backup batteries that are vital to power backup UPS systems. Installed
at the customers' site, the S5 System identifies specific problem
batteries that need replacement. Overloaded utilities, anomalies
in the power grid, extreme weather conditions and demanding UPS
System applications all put tremendous stresses and demands on your
power backup systems. It is imperative for any business that relies
on UPS Systems for emergency power to monitor their batteries because
batteries are inherently unpredictable and only one weak or discharged
battery will cause the UPS system to fail in an emergency.
The NEVERFAIL Plan requires three components; 1) a BTECH system
such as the new S5 System, 2) around the clock data collection and
analysis by the BTECH Remote Alarm Center and 3) scheduled annual
physical site inspection and prevention measures. NEVERFAIL is available
to new and existing BTECH customers.
The around the clock data collection and analysis BTECH Remote
Alarm Center complements the local staff by keeping in close communication
with the S5 System. The Center identifies only specific backup batteries
that require changing. The number of backup batteries used with
UPS Systems can range from 2 to 20,000. The Remote Center sends
alert messages to key staff members using any communications methods
selected by the customer. In this way the company is completely
covered even when staff members cannot be present.
The new Scheduled Prevention Program requires BTECH engineers to
visit each customer site annually to certify the data collection,
analysis and alarms are working properly and optimized. This program
recognizes the need for ongoing human observation to identify and
correct any physical, electrical or environmental changes that create
a risk of catastrophic failure during a power outage.
"Historically BTECH has supported vital applications for a
wide range of high visibility customers including many Fortune 1000
businesses, important government agencies and sensitive military
bases. The NEVERFAIL Plan addresses the expanding global demand
for battery monitoring. Now virtually every business can enjoy the
peace of mind knowing that their BTECH System gives them a 99% confidence
level in their power backup plan" says Tom Leonard, General
Manager of BTECH.
"The NEVERFAIL Plan responds to the diverse needs of small
to large businesses." said Michael Phillips, BTECH Sales Manager.
"We developed the NEVERFAIL Plan based on our vast experience
as global leader with thousands of installed systems on every continent.
With NEVERFAIL, we demonstrate our understanding and commitment
to our customers in this vital area, whether they depend on 2, 20
or 20,000 batteries" said Phillips.
Leonard added, "BTECH system reliability and performance have
long been recognized as industry benchmarks. Unlike competitive
offerings, our unique technology is able to measure and analyze
several critical parameters yet does not reduce battery life in
the process. There is no question our 5th generation S5 will set
new performance benchmarks for years to come."
